Group sources into collections

A collection is a label you give an article or an imported page. Your help center uses it to group what customers browse.

Where to set one

  • Articles: the Collection field beside the editor.
  • Imported pages: the Collection field when you import. Every page from that import gets it.

Type a new name to create a collection, or pick one you've used before.

What it changes

In your help center, articles are grouped by collection, largest first, with uncollected ones last under "General". Collections don't change answers: every published source is searched, whatever its collection.

Good collection names

Name them after what customers are trying to do, not your team structure: "Getting started", "Billing", "Integrations", "Account and security". Five to eight collections is plenty for most products.
